A Kiss To The Horizon

Whenever it rains you will think of her. It was my internal exams today of MBA. After having done with them, I went to my computer lab and did some of my work on the system. All of a sudden I could hear some thundering and roaring sound. I imagined how would it look and smell like if rains come today. And after that I again got busy with reading my book and my work on PC.

Few minutes later, electricity went off. I came outside and it was lovely scenario up there in the sky. Clouds are getting dark, rains are getting gathered, birds are flying here and there.

she won’t remember and that she can’t even let herself think about because that’s when the birds scream and the worms crawl and somewhere in her mind it’s always raining a slow and endless drizzle.

All I could think at that moment of time is to sit in a corner and just enjoy every drop of the rains. And I did it. It was only me left alone out of my entire class, sitting on a floor near my campus.

Something struck as usual in me, which made me take out my phone. I clicked pictures of the unseasonably weather and rains. Simultaneously, I thought of writing a little micro poem too on it. And did that too.

You will hear that she has left the country, that there was a gift she wanted you to have, but it is lost before it reaches you. Late one night the telephone will sign, and a voice that might be hers will say something that you cannot interpret before the connection crackles and is broken.

Several years later, from a taxi, you will see someone in a doorway who looks like her, but she will be gone by the time you persuade the driver to stop. You will never see her again.

So yeah, I just wanted you to feel what I just felt sitting alone in that campus. And I’m also gonna share that picture along with my micro-poem on ‘Her’.

Tell me how do you like it, how do you feel when you can feel the drops of rain in itchy summer. How do you want to spend your time during that. 🙂

This is how it looked like. Peaceful.

  4. Don’t worrie Summit, in time things will get better. Women love writers, believe me, that’s why they are always coming to Gastradamus. This is beautiful. I new to your blog but I really like what you’ve managed to do with such few words.

To your question: when it rains I like to spend my time meditating. It helps me to quiet my thoughts as I focus on the rain drops.

I look forward to more of your stuff. Following you now 🙂

  8. Rain is wonderful. Beautifully written Sumit. when it rains, all I need is a playlist of songs by Mariah carey and I love sipping tea sitting near the window. we used to have our externals around August, I hated exams during Rain, its just so unfair.
