Pre-Placement Training at SIMS

With this time of growing competition for everyone, even college fresher face a major problem of getting through the Campus Recruitment process. Though Students perform well in academics(Oh my God! Am I counting myself too?😂) and score good marks, they have to go through companies’ recruitment process where most of the students get disappointed.

It is not because that they are not suitable for the job. Definitely. After all, most of India’s and in fact, across the world’s richest people are not even graduated. So the problem is because they don’t have enough of practice to clear the recruitment process to get through the interview.

My college, Sanghvi Institute of Management and Science(Sims – Indore) helps such candidates who want to get selected in top companies through step by step. They have planned a full week session for those students who are passionate for their internships.

Going for Digital Marketing Seminar from the College.

We’re still in Semester II of MBA, though we’re gonna get through this semester in a month and a half. So what next? We’ll have to search out for few companies who will allow us to get an internship in their firm so that we can get the better exposure in our MBA. For that, the college already has so many tie-ups in Indore and even in metropolitan with firms which provide internships. Sims is doing the same for us, and to get that they are preparing and teaching us the recruitment process.

We’ve providing a number of practice tests where students can prepare and analyse in the area of Quantitative Aptitude, Verbal Ability, Technical, and Logical Reasoning.

It provides us the platform to improve our skills and perform not only in placement recruitment, also in other competitive exams and there’s a life learning tips as well.

So yeah, these were the session which held the entire week –

Career In Finance

Well, let me clear one thing to you. Finance is something which is not my cup of coffee. 😂 I don’t know, though I never felt like learn about it. It may be because I was always a science student and all of a sudden, finance come into the picture in MBA. So, I didn’t attend this session. As I’m NOT AT ALL interested in making my career in Finance.😂😅

Pre-Requisite for Interview on Monday

Yeaaaah! This is something where I’m more into. I just love talking and learning about these how it works. How manipulatively one has to judge another person for his/her capabilities to hire them.

Session in Conference Hall

I still remember how I was one of those students in the conference room who was very talkative and interrogated. Lol!

I, not only cleared my queries but also ask questions on behalf of those students who were afraid of asking questions. And they got their answers. They should thank me now, right? Haha!

Communication ethics in corporate

As we all know, ethics play an essential role in our lives, whether it’s professional or personal life. We at least think about the consequences before doing anything. We avoid doing those things which are against our ethics. Well, same goes with corporates.

Basics of Communication

In this session, we had to learn how communication is an essential part in corporate. We can’t do anything if we’re not good with our communication skill.

With Karishma and Divyani during the session.

Communication is not always about those sweet talks with your boss or any superiors but it’s something you’ll have to maintain with each and every person who comes in your way. It may be you colleagues, your boss, your competitors etc.

If you are strong with your communication skills them nothing can stop you.

Mock interviews

As the name says it all. A Mock interview is a set by an educating institution to prepare students for the interview.

It was something which I loved the most. I had few doubts in my head on interview questions. Thankfully, I got all the answers. I’m all ready for the battle now. Haha!!

Entry and exit in HR

In this session, we have had few respected HR consultant from Indore only. They told us about the importance of HRM(Human Resource Manager)

As I am intended to make my career and gonna opt for Human Resources and Marketing as my specialisation in my next semester, I was trying to learn so many things from them. Henceforth, he could sense that I’m interested and capable of taking responsibility, he offered me an internship offer out of all the entire class. Along with me there were two more candidates who were also offered the same platform to get the internship.

Though I’m more into my Start-ups, still I’ll walk in for the post tomorrow. Let’s see what happens. 🙂

Scope Market and Trading

Again, something important which is useful for every entrepreneur and to start the business. This session could ignite the spark inside me to study about BSE, NSE, Nifty, Sensex etc.

Group photo with everyone.

Industry Visit at Kriti Industries

We went to Madhya Pradesh’s industrial area Pithampur for the visit of Kriti Industries.

I learned so many aspects of large industries and factories. How hard and complicated it is to team up your workers as a manager. Overall, it was a great exposure not just for an MBA but also for my start up.

Industrial Relationship Management

So, today was the last day of this Pre-Placement Training session. Where I come to know about Labour Acts and laws and how PF and ESIC procedure works. It is important to learn all the Acts regarding workers.

Certificate and Medal

W00t! W00t! It is a time for allocation of Certificates and Medals for the entire week hard work and learnings.

Receiving a certificate & Medal from Vimmy Ma'am.

I’m really grateful to my Head of Department, Prof Vimmy Katyal Ma’am and  Pooja Sankhala Ma’am from Placement and Training department to give me this opportunity. 🙂

PS – I’m on my way for the Interview in which I was selected for. Please wish me luck. Hahaha! 😉

    1. Hello Sup,
I also believe the same for it but I’m not at all liking it. It’s like a torture for me.

At times I sit in the class and felt how racists all the students are, because everyone is busy solving the problem but I just look at them. And I’m like, are they crazy of I’m getting insane. 😂😂

But, thanks to you for telling me its importance in our life. I’ll surely start learning about Finance:)

I still have a month for study, I’ll get through it. 🙂

Thank you Sup, for your kind informative suggestion. 😃

      Have a great day ahead.
