A Handmade Gift for A Sister which took Me An Year And A Half To Accomplish!

Hey everyone, I wish you all a very happy Rakshabandhan. It’s a wonderful relationship with your sibling(s) you fight, you get crazy over each other, you get jealous of each other, you both at times don’t talk to each other as well. But but but, the best part is you both feel blessed to have each other. Isn’t it so? This is what I could observe in all these years.

Well, I always wanted to have a little sister for me I would have taught her so many things, I would have helped her in her studies, I would have supported her in choosing a right boyfriend/gentleman. My list would go on and on…

But unfortunately I am not blessed with any little sister. Instead, the worst part is I’m the youngest one in my entire family. I don’t even have a younger brother either with whom I can do a few things, like best buddies. Ah! I wish I could.. don’t worry I’ll marry any good girl soon and produce my own team. 😂😂 Just kidding!!

So yeah, today I’m presenting a gift which took me an year and a half to finally complete it. I had started thinking of doing something hand made for Maggie Di at the end of year 2013 then I was done with the thinking process with loads of notes, ideas, and what not. So I was done with the idea part by then, it was already half of 2014. Then I finally decided to work on it, but I was so occupied in my work because it was already the onset of 2015 so I asked Harsha (One of my best friends) to help me. And then finally in the month of May I finally had gone to Mumbai while having sooooooooo many more gifts for my Di. It was a long time I’ve met her. So it’s obvious to make her happy with gifts.

(Remember? There’s nothing happier for any woman in this world who can’t be impressed by gift. Be it a mother, wife or a sister;))

This is a Rakhshabandhan gift to my sister Margaret  Didi I had gifted her an year and a half ago, for which I have had took 1.5 years, so ultimately 3 years of hardwork now. 😂

This is a sketch made by my friend Shreyansh Likhar. Actually I would have sketch it my own self and that’s what I wanted to do but due to lack of time I could not. Hence, at the last time he helped me made this. 🙂

Thank you Shreyansh. 😀

Margaret Di was on cloud nine when I had actually gifted her.
“Nobody has ever done things for me like this, Sumit. Thanks a lot, and God bless you.” She had said.
“That’s why I did it for you Di. If somebody  have already done this I would’ve had done something more beautiful for you.” I replied while looking into her eyes and her hands on mine.
Well, this is what we can do for each other to make ourselves important. We don’t feel like, nobody’s giving a single s#it about me. I always feel elated when most of my readers appreciate my write-ups and when most of amazing writers mention me in their blog posts.

A special thanks to my beautiful and best friend Harsha, who used to come to my house by telling her parents that she’s studying in her classes, which actually she bunked to help me making this complete. Thanks so much sweetheart. For the support. Love you:)

So yeah, let me know how do you like it. 🙂
This time too I got a wonderful Rakhi from Margaret Di. Let me show you the rakhi. 🙂

And when I asked her what does she want on this Rakshabandhan. All the the same answer from her, like I’m getting for all these years. She heartily prays for my success and she’s the one who made me most of who I am today.

Margaret Di is one of reasons of SumitOfficial’s blog. She had encouraged me to stand apart. She had encouraged me to be independent. She has been a great help all these years and I want her to be with me like this forever.

But when I asked her what does she want, all I could get was… let me show you . .

Rakhi Gift

She took a promise from me to be successful ethically and to be honest with my future girlfriend or wife. ( I doubt if I get married directly. Please God send me a good girl in my life so that I can stand upon my promise. Hahah!)
So you can sense the kind of unconditional love she showers on me with her blessing. And this blog is a tribute to you Margaret Di to express my love for you.

Yours little one,

Sumit, The Young man!(As you always call me;))
I want to thank each and everyone and (especially Internet too for guiding me to write a poetry years ago) for supporting me. We won.

Cheers!!  😍

    1. Thank you very much Sup for your kind words. But if we love someone in our life, be it a mother, girlfriend or any other male persons as well. We put our heart to make them smile because we truly love them. We want them to keep smiling. And what more can it be good if you or I can be the reason for that.

Yes, it took me this long but you can see the results now. 🙂
As they say sup, ‘Great things always take time.’

I’m glad that you loved it Sup.😇😊

  4. I wish I had a Brother, more a Big Brother. Who I could “dump myself onto”. Who would have protected me from so many ugly things, which I had to fight alone.

  5. I was spellbound reading this. As I have said earlier Sumit Bhai, your passion and enthusiasm are the differentiators between you and other commoners of your age group.
May your Dee always keep showering her love, teachings and blessings upon you. Both of you stay blessed 🙏😇😊

  7. How funny, I always wanted an older brother to play with, show me the way of the world such as climbing trees, and stand protective over me…alas I am the oldest so I understand the struggle.

Love the pictures and collages, so fun and meaningful all at once!

  8. Ahhh…Sumit, a gift like this is more precious than gold!

I’ve one sister, no brothers…and I’m the youngest (even at age 62!😁), but I feel the same about my sister. She was my first hero and role model (other than my mother, of course) and I still look up to her.

May God bless you all greatly.

(thank you for visiting my blog and introducing me to your lovely poetry😌)
