Get Comfortable being Uncomfortable

“If people like you,

they’ll listen to you.

But if people trust you

they’ll do business with you.”

-Zig Ziglar

Oh my God! I cannot agree anymore on that what Zig has said here. It is so important for you to connect with your client/customer no matter in which business you are.

Since, I am into world’s most amazing and creative job- Sales, which stands on the pillar of trust only. If you cannot make the other person comfortable with you voice (if your job consists of telephonic services) then it may be a difficult task for you.

The same thing I was feeling yesterday, because it has been a week or so in the office that I am dealing with the clients but I could not convince any of them to pay for the services. I could feel that, yes, ut’ll take some timesince I am new in the market so it might take some time to learn the technique to sell the products through calls.

I was quite happy with that, but as we all feel a bit insecure when few of our friends/colleagues got their payment but you could not. The same I felt yesterday.

A week ago it was last day of my training, and we were supposed to get through an assessment test, which decides how much knowledge you have about the market. I scored quite good in that..let me show you 🙂

But today, by the grace of I craked a deal. My first deal that too with all my convincing powers. That TOO from a woman. It must be sound strange, but to convince a woman for a service that too with a [aid service. Man! it is a tough task. But hey! That is what I did. Yayy 🙂

It is very special day for me because today on October 26, 2016 I got my first client on my own in my job. Lipsita Nandan, this name would be harder for me to forget in my life, because she’s the one who got convinced to pay. Of course, on the same day a month ago, i.e., on September 26, 2016 I have joined CapitalVia Global Reseach Limited.

My only motive in life is to learn two skills-

People’s skills.

Selling skills.

I am already on my way, and you should too… 🙂

Thank you for reading. See you soon. 🙂

  1. Congratulations!
Great post. I love the quote. I’m always telling my staff that there are millions of options out there for your customers and they are going to end up doing business with people they like and trust.
    Keep hustling!

  2. Never heard a sales person explaining his first sale so creatively! Enjoyed it! Now i’m convinced that you can write any genre of the world. The writing spectrum is quite wide for you from Romance (Kaam) to Finance (Artha) ! And everything in between. Keep it up Man!
