The best antidote I know for worry is work. The best cure for weariness is the challenge of helping someone who is even more tired. One of the great ironies of life is this: He or she who serves almost always benefits more than he or she who is served.
Gordon B. Hinckley
Do you agree with that? Well, I completely do. As Hinckley said, one who serves almost always benefits more that he or she who is served. Why is it so difficult for people to help each other when they know they easily can.
A kind gesture by forgiving and helping others can make a hell lot of difference, because, I believe, love has the power to heal any wound.
I mean, I have come across people who are so fucked up in their own self. People have become so selfish and self-centered that they have forgotten that the outer world exists too. There is a purpose for you to be on earth.
At times, when I see around and find such fucked up people who can’t see anything than their own benefits, I get away from them. They are kids. They are fucking immature.
I am not saying that I could always help everyone because at times the time doesn’t allow me to do. But those are only 1% cases when I can not. I have been blogging for almost two years now, and when I had started blogging I did not know about anything other than writing. I still remember my first blog post was about this only when I had asked readers to help me to how to access it, but unfortunately, nobody come up for the help.
Somehow, by the grace of God, and readers’ love I learnt it by my own. Today when I look back, I have hundreds of writers whom I could inspire to write and help them to get started. That might not be a big thing for a few people, but for me, IT MEANS A WORLD.
As Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam has very well said-
“Dusro ko Fayda Pahuchate Raho Bade Aadmi Ban Jaoge”
And blogging is just a single example. God has blessed me with multiple hands to help and inspire people around me, people who need help. That is just one example of mine, likewise, we all have infinite powers to help others, which ultimately help you to grow for sure.
There is one story I’d like to tell you which I learned from my MBA book while preparing for my exams these days. So the story goes like this-
A holy man was having a conversation with the Lord one day and said, “Lord, I would like to know what Heaven and Hell are like.”
The Lord led the holy man to two doors. He opened one of the doors and the holy man looked in.
In the middle of the room was a large round table. In the middle of the table was a large pot of stew which smelled delicious and made the holy man’s mouth water.
But the people sitting around the table were thin and sickly. They appeared to be famished. They were holding spoons with very long handles that were strapped to their arms and each found it possible to reach into the pot of stew and take a spoonful, but because the handle was longer than their arms, they could not get the spoons back into their mouths. The holy man shuddered at the sight of their misery and suffering. The Lord said, ‘You have seen Hell.’
They then went to the next room and opened the door. It was exactly the same as the first one. There was the large round table with the large pot of stew which made the holy man’s mouth water. The people were equipped with the same long-handled spoons, but here the people were well nourished and plump, laughing and talking.
The holy man said, “I don’t understand.”
“It is simple,” said the Lord, “In this place, the people have learned to feed one another.
Did you notice the difference? It is that simple. But for that, we need to have a good intention to help unconditionally. 🙂
You have not lived today until you have
done something for someone who can never repay you.
-John Bunyan
I more motivated now by sharing my thoughts with you here. Thank you so much for reading. 🙂

It is very nicely written and the story is awesome. Just one thing I think inadmissible is that you said “At times when I see around and find such fucked up people who can’t see anything than their own benefits, I get away from them. They are kids.” In my opinion, kids are the purest form of human being. They are neither self-centered nor evildoers and I think any person should never become mature enough to forget his guileless.

Bibhuti, here I am portraying those people as kids who are engaged in their own selves. People who are not giving a shit about anything.
I am not underestimating the kindness of kids(the actual ones) but all I mean is, at lease make sure that your presence exists in this context.

Brilliant writing! This is a very famous story and you have perfectly gelled it with the roots of this post. The first time I heard this story it was used to depict the difference between heaven and hell. However, there was another meaning to it and you’ve perfectly extracted it. Another pinot I loved was that just helping doesn’t work it should be with a good intention.

Hey Jonathan! I see, you’re having problem with the word ‘fucked up’ but I don’t think I’ve used it unnecessarily. Words are there to describe feelings, aren’t they?
I felt the same hence used it.
Thanks for reading!

(Would’ve been better if you didn’t use the f word as much, just a suggestion.)
When you said As Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam you meant Prophet Muhammad Sallallahu ‘Alayhi Wasallam? 🙂
I got to read awesome quotes and when you said story,it got me excited. 😛 Enjoyed the story, the concept as well! Great post really! 😀

First of all thank you very much for such lovely comment. I don’t know why the F word is so not acceptable in the post. The F word is just an expression that I felt like presenting, and that is it. It was not meant to hurt anyone’s feeling. 🙂
And yes, it is the Prophet Sahab! 🙂

i agree, we should help each, it makes it easier for everyone..i wish people will realize that..unfortunately, we are always in competition with somebody…i just hope we will all realize that we are in competition with our own self, we compete to be a better person each day…we should not compete with others coz each of us are unique in our own special way
