What Happens When You See Yourself in An Advertisement? 

Is that you Sumit?

So I was sitting around in my room this noon with my laptop and books.

Suddenly my aunt comes and asked me, “Sumit have you done any commercial lately?”

Ok. So let me tell you guys that I’ve been on national TV but I’ve not done any commercial as of now. Though, being on the hoardings of the road with Bushy beard promoting something I love is my first love from so many years. I don’t know but to be on a movie or TV serials, I find commercials very fascinating.

Winner of Ad-mad Show at Daly College (2016)

I remember once I was sent to an inter-college competition for ad-mad (In which you need to act something in less than 2 minutes, where your props, timings, rules, information about the product you’re advertising, and motive should be cleared.) So I had prepared a Brand-new unique advertisement for that and presented in Daly College, where a lot of Bollywood movies are picturised. And guess what, out of all the participants we won that title of Best Ad-mad Show. Haha.. I always knew I’m dramatic when it comes to doing such things.

“No. I didn’t do anything like that” I told my aunt.

She asked me to come and have a look. As I went and looked at the computer, I was freaking astonished. Haha!  I mean, yes! That guy in that advertisement does look like me. Aunt was not lying.

I took my head with both my hands and sighed. Haha! It was like, something which I’ve been daydreaming comes true.

So till now, I was not confirmed that if I should go for it or not. But now I’m extremely happy if I can be a face of such creative thing. It would not wrong to call each other’s doppelgänger.

Would you like to see me if I come in an advertisement someday? Haha! 😀

  10. OMG – lol that totally looks like you!! You could totally use that to your advantage with the lady’s lol …. I do love that picture of you btw- its one of many that are my favorite! 😉😋 I would totally live to see you in a commercial doing your thing!     1. Haha… You know what Akhila.. you just be the 100th person to tell me this. I don’t know why but many people have told me that they have seen me somewhere. 😅😁😁😋

      Even now, I’m in my brother’s wedding and guests who’ve come look the way from different places, and telling me they have seen me somewhere too. 😂😂😂😅😅

        But that is true there some people exist in world who are selfish they always think about they own ..they never thought that. If they r doing this ..this may hurt someone ?? But who cares actually in this world :/ ofc I have many ppl around me who are lyk this ..but I have a sense how to tackle them 😊

      10. Yes yes, true that we should not let them change our thought process because of them. But you know what, it hurt a lot when I had to deal with one of the &%#^ girl, who were so outspoken and abusive. Since I had never talked to anyone in that hatred manner I had to give up myself, because she was fucking crazy girl.

        I, by then, thought that I will never let affect me by such stupid girls. It is advised to leave them on their own.

        But yes, as time passes, I could easily sense who is worth talking and who is not, which all of us are smart enough to judge.. 🙂

    And yeah,I know this ad-mad competition.Even we used to have it in our college and I can proudly say that my team won it.The best part was preparing the jingle and funny persuasive dialogues..ha ha ha..

    1. Hhahahaha! Well that is really cool. Now I have someone who knows what it is and how it feels to win. Ahhahhaahh!

      I still remember, how funnily we had acted for it, bahut hee jyada funny. At times, we used to laugh a lot on our own acting. But it requires patience, to win the title.

      And I congratulate for winning that. 🙂

        Yeah,it was really funny,the difficult part was convincing other team members to act in that funny manner.Many of my friends backed out and so I did triple roles in one single act.However I am sure those friends of mine might have regretted when we won the prize..ha ha ha
        What was the product that you got to promote?

      5. Our product was perfume and we had to create the brand name and everything by ourselves.I remember naming it ‘Boogie Woogie’just too sound funny.And with every spray our whole group used to chant the name together..ha ha ha

      7. Yeah it was actually very funny and me being in the role of a teacher,father and a judge had to act getting swayed each time when other member sprayed along with their dialogue”boogie woogie”!
