Happy World Book Day!

Today is a day which is celebrated to encouraging reading habits in people. I know many people who are avid readers, I mean, they read books as if they someone’s having his mean. It is as easy for them. Honestly speaking I am really bad at reading. I’d not say I don’t read at all, no, that is not the case with me. But one thing which I hate and love about my reading is I become procrastinator at times, for example, people who read thriller or suspense gets excited to read what is going to happen next. At the same time, it does not happen with me, I can leave that suspense for months and I will resume it when I feel like reading it again! Haha! Recently I have finished A Thousand Splendid Suns by Khaled Hosseini after almost a year. Hahah!

So you can imagine my reading habits. But at the same time, I am very practical about my reading, if I read something and I like that part so much, I’d keep reading them again and again.  Anyway, I have got a lot of books these days, so I have to fast now. 🙂wp-1492956122700.

So happy World Book Day to you, I hope you have celebrated Sunday and this special day today. It was a great day for me since the morning. Firstly, I got a delicious treat from one of my friends, Rohit. Your morning becomes great when you get Choco Lava, Masala Maggi, and a cup of coffee. Doesn’t it?

The one sitting beside me. 🙂

I had to go to an event where there was a celebration for the day of reading at PulpyPupaya Store.wp-1492954663023.

I have given one of the books of mine(A love story novel) and in return, I got a thriller novel 03:02 by Mainak Dhar.wp-1492954662994.

I am so excited to read this book because of the thriller in it. Anyway, there was one more activity by the store where you have to write on whatever product you love in the store. And for me, diaries are my love. Since there were a lot of creative diaries in the store so I chose to write for my love. Would you like to read it? Okay. Let me share it-

In the beginning of every new year, one of the best things I have been gifting myself is a diary. A creative diary. For me, a diary is not a bunch of blank papers, instead they’re the opportunities I get to make the entire year cheerful. Before I had started writing blogs on SumitOfficial, my only companion was my diary; I used to write every single thing in my diary, at times good ones, sometimes not so good as well. I used to jot down my good and bad experiences to learn from. But somehow in today’s world of Social Media, micro-blogging etc. we are forgetting the importance of diaries. I wonder, has the love for a diary died a death by getting involved in the virtual world?

My experience with PulpyPapaya’s Flagship store was amazing because of one reason, that is, they have come up with beautiful hand-painted diaries made up of wooden. You can always keep it with yourself. One of the perks of these diaries is that it can be reused by adding another bunch of pages once you’ve written on all the pages.

Diaries are an expression of one’s individuality. It’s a place without pretense, where you don’t need to fake anything which you’re not. Nobody’s going to judge you for anything. It’s just you and your words. And that’s what matters at the end. Make diaries your best friend.

A few more people submitted their entries, the one which would be selected by the store would get a hamper as well. Yay! I loved being a part of such creative event today.

I also got these goodies from PuplyPapaya. Wohoo! 😀

Tell me how did you celebrate your day? Or what did you read today? 🙂

    1. Aww, that is so sweet of you to say. 🙂
You know, in that lifestyle store there were a lot of things, creative as well as expensive but the most admirable thing I could see there was a diary. Did you see the picture I shared here? It’s amazing to have something which makes us perfect everyday. 🙂

  1. Always such good posts, vibrant. Provoking interest. The wooden diary with the ability to rekindle its use by adding new blank pages, awesome. Jealous (me).
