A Day Well Celebrated!

Most of the times, when birthday word comes to our ears, the only thing we can remind of is party and gifts and what not. But yesterday, on May 21, 2017, I analyzed everything thing we by default do and try to change it.

One of the things we do is go out with friends, throw parties to our beloved ones, going here and there and we came back and sleep wit bunch of gifts. Isn’t it? This is what I had been doing in my life as well. But yesterday, it was completely different.

The only thing I did is to spend time with my family, to be with them, to listen to them, to live a day as if nothing is particularly special but everything. They will do nothing but you can still feel the importance of everything.

So everything started with a surprise when my family members brought a cake for me on 21st midnight. wp-1495450874318.

Then I woke up at 12 pm and ate Indore’s famous Kachori, Samose, Poha-Jalebi. Hahah! I can still imagine the delicious taste of that brunch. Then I, along with my father and brother went to some meeting. During the meeting, I got a call from Amazon that I have got a parcel. I told him to leave at my door. And guess what? It was a gift from one of my beloved ones, who sent me the love and inspiration of my life.

A Book of a legend by a legend.

Mirza Ghalib by Gulzar! A biography. She knows how fascinated I am to read and re-read the Urdu/Persian poet, Mirza Ghalib. I can never thank her for this beautiful gift. (There are gifts from her which are more on the way. <3)

Then a friend/bookworm/Co-founder of Author Paradise, Tushti Bhatia had come to visit me all the way from Jaipur, India. It was a great time I spent with her in the evening. wp-1495452764576.

After that, we went to Krishna Temple and felt the blessings from the Lord for the entire year. 🙂

And at last, along with my best friend and family, we went to a nearby famous restaurant, we had our dinner there and reached Divyani’s house(best friend) and stayed and enjoyed there till midnight with her parents.

All in all, it was a too normal but the best birthday I had because I was with my family. My life. 🙂

In the next post, I’d be sharing some my most favorite wishes here. Thanks for reading! 🙂

  1. Couldn’t agree more! Happy belated birthday. Mine’s on Wednesday, and I plan on doing exactly the same thing! But I’ve always been a big believer in the “little things” that end up meaning so much more. Some of my favorite memories consist of just sitting in the kitchen with my loved ones, having coffee, maybe a smoke or two, and talking. Sharing each other’s thoughts.

      1. Thank you! 🙂 Just wrote a reply, and my phone decided to lose it, so keeping it short in case it happens again. Combining friend’s name day (also on Wednesday) and my birthday, most likely a few family friend’s as well and just hanging out with family and friends this weekend.

    1. Yes, Madhavi. As I have read hundreds of times that your family is/should be important to you, but never actually realised how much.

Thanks to this birthday which gave me a chance to recognise what I suppose to do. 🙂
