Recommended to: Anyone who gets amused by the descriptive ways of reading and realising a story which is difficult to happen in real life with cats talking, crows who suggests what is good and what is bad with Murakami’s amazing writing skills.

Inspired me to learn about: I loved the fact how Murakami has these broken characters which make them so real. Characters are having sex with no-strings-attached still be in love with the one she/he loves, which happens in real life too. Doesn’t it? The messed up family members, the past which drags us back. The optimistic future. It taught me a lot of things.

Moreover, this is the only book I’ve ever read with more than 1300+ pages which is approximately having 5,32,000+words and I completed in less than 12 nights after working 12 hours a day from December 2019 last week to January 2nd, 2020.

3 takeaways from the book:

1) The story revolves around the two characters one after another where they went to 1984 which Aomame thinks is 1Q84 (Kew means 9 in Japanese)

2) The intriguing character becomes the main culprit of the story. you would never understand until you reach towards the end.

3) Murakami is a 70 year old man who understands how to portray the sexual act in his books, which I personally love to read, it makes everything naked about their true nature. He does that in the middle of a regular story-telling. And that is brilliant.
