Inspired me to learn about:

The Six Principles of Simple Productivity

  • Make limitations
  • Focus on the essential parts of your task
  • Simplify your lifestyle
  • Be Alert
  • Build new habits
  • Start small efforts

3 takeaways from the book:

1) Many of the times, we make a lot plans, big plans to execute, like going to gym in the starting and weighing a lot of weight for a day or two or for a week, and then we become so tired that we end up going to the gym.

Rather, let’s start it day by day. Little weight to make our brain absorb the change. Let’s feel the progress, rather than just imposing the decisions. This way we can become more productive.

2) Make a list of all the tasks that you want to achieve in a day, and hunt for the Most Productive Work and go for it until you finish it off. Then find the next Most productive one and keep the flow going.

3) Our mind is so distracted that it kinda try to find out ways to not let you do your work. It can be unnecessary or unimportant mails, your phone, messages, tea breaks. If you want to become successful, help yourself and get away from them as soon as possible.

  1. Wonderful summary of the book. We need to “focus” and “prioritize” to get our direction right. Simultaneously, we also need to slow down and not to get anxious about non-fulfilled tasks. “Balance” is the key. Thank you for sharing.
