Ragged Breathing (A Dark Poem)

In a secretive life,
Here gathered the past,
the lost, psycho and stupid ass.
Breathing heavily and shallow
To hide the shake.
Irresistible. Dark nights
Are nothing but sobbing
Behind the lace.
The moonlight’s gone,
Wickedness of hers has come.
Little did she know
I’m the source of light.
The fire inside.
My eye sights are
Sharpest blades.
If you ever come near,
Or if you come around
I’ll slice you in pieces
without even a doubt.
Your evilness I’m going to fuck,
If I ever catch you shits that you bring,
until I leave you ragged breathing.

This might be pretty much shocked for you as I’ve never tried writing about darkness. The love for dark night is always there, but often we forget the darkness that humans have inside their hearts. Many a times, we don’t even recognize that darkness which kills inside. And as I’ve been taught the art of rhyming by my loving lady, I thought of just penning down with a twist of real life people who have given me bad experiences.

As they’ve said for all of us, “Never fuck with writers, they’ll describe you.” And here goes the saying well versed with my first attempt on the dark poem.

I hope you can feel those people who’ve been the pain in your ass. It could be anyone like a landlord, a neighborhood fellow, the girl/boy you fell for once, or the bad incidence of your own life.

This is the time to tell all the situations to stay the fuck away because you’re stronger than before, you’re wise, and ready to not give up be it anything in life. Situations may go up and down, but life should always be going in the way that we want.

With this dark poem, I want you to release everything that you’ve been holding onto, for everything that’s dragging you down, take all the powers to control from you, and my friend, just RISE, because this is your time. Your time has come. Stay alive. LIVE.

    1. Thank you for recognising me as there might be all darkness around, but I am the source of light.

The motive is justified with your words. I’m glad you loved it on your bed time. It’s always pleasure hearing from you, Mitty.

I wish you a peaceful night.

    1. Absolutely dark, my friend.
But as I said, I’m the light and no wonder how much darkness it’s in here, a blink of light is enough to break the darkness.

Received your love, sending it to you again with warm regards. 🙂

  2. Woah! Dark verses from SumitOfficial? Is everything okay, Sir? I found this poem very powerful and full of determination. Gives me more courage to face the people I was scared of. 😼 I’ll raise my voice and scream chaar paanch gaali in their faces. 😼 Then they’ll know who Chandu is. 😎 Thankyou for the positive energy. I like the poem. (And the explaination.) 🤣

    1. Thank you Arshnoor for always being gentle. I’m glad you liked the first timer practice with such love. I’ve read in Anisha’s post that it’s not always good to be pure gold, hence the mixture of other components are required.

And that’s why I tried to inculcate the dark side here with this poem to rip the heart apart.

      1. I wish I had ever cared about it. When I had starting from the zero 5 years back as a writer, coming up with a tag of erotica cum soft porn writer, I’ve been criticized a lot. But I was walking alone until I made my path. And here I am today. 🙂

  4. Good morning Sumit ✨
    I hope you are fine.

    Now, coming to poem….
This is uniquely wonderful Sumit, and I didn’t find it dark reason behind it is, the way you have carved this poem, is kind of motivational to me. Like you said, this poem is the time to tell all the situations to stay away because you’re stronger than before, you’re wise, and ready to not give up be it anything in life.
This is actually a light in the dark nights. This is amazing just like you. You never fail to startle your readers.

It has actually done it’s work and these lines,
    I’m the source of light.
    The fire inside.
    My eye sights are
    Sharpest blades.
    If you ever come near,
    Or if you come around
    I’ll slice you in pieces
    without even a doubt.
This is the heart of the poetry.
Thank you for the morning motivation Sumit.
    Have a great day 🙂
    Take care.

    1. Good morning, Anushka! ✨
I’m all good and I wish you too are doing amazing as always!

Wow, I guess, it was written in a good way but no, I was wrong. It is properly read in the sense it was written with. The name might be dark, it might sound ruthless, but you got the crux of it in no time. That’s only possible when the reader is a closed one.

So happy that you chose to understand the part where I say who I am in it and nothing can beat me over my head.

Thank you so much for the immense love, Anushka. You’re just amazing that I always wish to hear from you. 🙂

      1. Good evening Sumit😊
        Yeah…I am okay.
I don’t know Sumit, why you always praise me. I have done nothing. I just read and gave my feedback for what I felt, and you know that I really love your poetries.

I am always here to love you and your work Sumit, and I really mean it.
        Take care of yourself 😊

  5. It’s good to be light but to fight darkness sometimes you got to embrace your own darkness and make it a weapon, for example, the Deity Parvati, she is all light, love, peace and calm but the moment she is enraged, the moment darkness tries to engulf her beloved children, whenever things go out of hand, she embraces her darkness with all her power and grace.

Darkness is within all of us but the thing is how are you going to use it, are you going to use it to make someone’s life miserable with your wickedness or are you going to fight for yourself and your people using that darkness.
We all are made up of light and darkness so that we can use them with our wisdom and need.
We all need a little bit of darkness to fight the dark which might engulf us if we don’t fight back.

    1. and that your poem portrays really well and you yourself is a beautiful example for your readers, the one who talks pearly and poetry can handle wickedness and darkness. That will.definately inspire the people to take all that darkness within themselves and make it a weapon.
This poem, is powerful and coming from you it becomes an inspiration.
      Thank you

      1. Very kind of you to consider it as a powerful weapon, rather it’s a tool to enlighten the dark side inside your own self and come out of it.

        Thank you for your appreciation.

    2. What a beautiful way of portraying a subtle person when it’s not bothering but becomes fierce when you try to f*ck up!

And truly, to err is human. And to have light and dark moments in life is all which makes us human. Thank you for the enlightened words, Anamika.

  6. So with this poem comes Sumit’s defence against stress.
A very powerful poem describing everything that you had in your heart…

The way past has been described, as lost and psycho.. I felt it.
And then when you said the moon has gone and her wickedness has come..
    You’re a genius yaa!

When you said I am the source of light, something inside me screamed yes, a big yes.. you indeed are a source of light…

Then when you said I’ll slice you in pieces of I find you around ever, it did not sound at all rude you know why? Because anger was at its peak which meant at one point of time love too was at its peak and it’s unfulfilled so anger is justified!

And as always you gave it a powerful ending.

And the description let’s talk about it-
I have seen people lurking around and just trying to keep us out of our peace but we as writers know how to deal with them..

True said Never mess with a writer, they will weave you into a story, a poem.

It was a beautiful poem, nothing dark as long as you are the light ✨
Keep shining and keep lighting paths✨

    See you around ✨

    1. It’s quite a late, I know but the best part you know where I was.

You never forget to get what’s written in between the words nah! The moon, its light, darkness, wickedness. You got all of them.

And the light appeared, as if the Sun has come after a continuous rain. You got me again. That’s you.

And here I am just smiling for having you near who gets everything from those words for what must have been in my mind. That’s you, Rashmi. I’m grateful to have you. ☺

  7. A Dark side of Sumit’s writing! Nice work. I like the hidden meanings behind the words. Best for me was “The moonlight’s gone,
    Wickedness of hers has come.
    Little did she know
    I’m the source of light”

    Well written!
