The splendiferous beauty
Like a porcelain doll
She loves to sit beside
Her bookshelf in dark.
Look at her eyes,
Like a passionate smoulder.
For how he always ignites the spark
Until her smile shines for a writer
And eyes get pitch dark.
He’s not worrying about
If she may ever fall,
As he’ll save her before any downfall
After all,
She is there for him
And he’s always her all.

  1. Omg….i just love this one this so good and wonderful and how u described the two is ethereal. I love the whole like the whole poem so much that I am saving it for later read.
    And especially the lines,
    She loves to sit beside
    Her bookshelf in dark.
    Look at her eyes,
    Like a passionate smoulder.

They were so good in depicting the real emotions of the person.
    Wonderful indeed.

    1. At times, I feel as if it’s not me writing the poem but my wonderful readers like you who tells me a poem. Would you believe there are many times my poem has no background stories. You come and give them something to be beautiful.

And tonight, you did it again. Thank you for loving it, Arshnoor.

  2. Hey Sumit
I read your post just now today. But you’re there to amaze your readers always like this. I loved the similes you used here. And as usual the ending is damn.
    If she may ever fall
As he’ll save her before any downfall
    After all,
    She is there for him
    And he’s always her all.

The way you portray something in darkness is ever beautiful like this.
    Hope you’re having good day.

    1. Hey, Mitty!

No matter whenever you read, I always know you’re going to tell me your views. As if I wait for you to come.

Thank you for loving the darkness. Actually, it’s the light which comes out from the darkness. And that becomes poetry.

I had a great day. How about you?

      1. Actually yes, I am writing a lot more these days. Don’t know why, but it’s good for me. And yes, stories take time. They help me to make my brain more active.

  3. Good evening Sumit!
I am really late I know, but here I am-

This poem is Splendiferous as the title says. I loved the use of similes from porcelain doll (I checked meaning on Google) and passionate smoulder. Exquisite!

Second half of the poem is totally relatable. How the writer ignites the spark not just in eyes but in soul as well. And how he becomes the reason behind smile…

Right now the way you are reason behind your reader’s smile!

And I loved the certainty that is shown in the end that how he is there to save her, to hold her hand if she ever falls! So much conviction is there in the words.
    The poet’s assurance is commendable!

All in all wonderful work Sumit!
It was a treat reading this!

    Keep smiling!
    See you around ✨
