An Interview of SumitOfficial by Simrin Kapoor!

The average person puts only 25% of his energy into his work.
The world takes off its hat to those who put in more than 50% of their capacity,

Hey everyone! I hope you’re all doing great and being safe at your respective places. First of all, thank you so much for pouring a lot of love on my recent work. I’ve been constantly managing my work from home and writing blog posts and posting in every 12 hours. And my motivation is surely you all who are always there to wait for me to post. It makes me happy.

One of the other great things happened recently, when one of the bloggers cum Instagrammers approached me to take my interview, about SumitOfficial’s journey, my writing patterns and what I do other than blogging. As it was about my journey of writing, I thought it might help someone to start off with something or to keep on going with the passion because one day you’re gonna get the success.

I’ve also shared my views of how I was called as ‘Soft Porn Writer’ because my genre of writing was Erotica when I had started Blogging 5 years back.

I hope you’d like my answers. I tried to be as honest as I could with everything.

Happy blogging!

    1. Hah! You’re too sweet to say that, Arshnoor! I usually don’t do it usually (one of the reasons I don’t accept any Awards too) but I think my journey may help someone through this so I did.

Now go and read the answers and let me know how do you like them.

  1. Hey Sumit!! I guess itโ€™s been less than a month since I stumbled upon your instagram page and honestly I donโ€™t even remember how I came across it. I was so addicted reading the poems that I went through most of them within 2-3 days max. I was quite amazed by the content of your poems.. how could someone write so boldly the subject which is not even discussed inside a house and post it like this. I loved your poems where a woman is so empowering. Then I thought I should talk to you and really tell you how good you are with your work. I told you the very first day I am glad I came across your poems through which I got a friend and still till this date I am. I am an addict now. I donโ€™t even miss a single poem and you know that. I never asked you about your journey. And today after reading this interview, I came to know about the struggles you have been through but still you are always full of fun. You have always been so polite and kind even when I crack some stupid insane jokes although we donโ€™t know each other at a personal level. I am and will always be a fan of your writings. And yeah.. one thingโ€™s for sure as I always say.. aadha punjabi toh bnake chodungi.. โ˜บ๏ธ long way to go!! Going to know more about you. Going to crack some more insane jokes. Going to bore you more with some chatting sessions๐Ÿ˜ And definitely share my thoughts with you on each and every poem that you are going to write in future!!!! All the best Gujju!!!! Keep shining and glowing with that long beard forever!!! ๐Ÿง”๐Ÿป

    1. Well, this is prolly one of the best compliments I’ve recently received. So much positivity, so much respect is there in your words.

I remember how I had not known you but knew you were liking and reading a lot do my work. And then you told me one day that you really like them.

It was always great listening from you because your understanding is so good that one gets motivated afterwards. Maybe, I crave for that only from you.

The journey was always hard to reach where I have come, but one of the great supports I had was from women like you. Hundreds and thousands of you who didn’t feel bad when I tried to open their secrets in front of their eyes. Rather, they loved it for that’s how they feel.

I am just a medium through my writings. It’s a reader who finds herself/himself in it.

Thank you so much for the wonderful words. I’m honoured to get them from you.

      Much love, Anu!

  2. Wonderful interview Sumit and congratulations. I suppose I left the message in your friends blog but any how will share the message here to.
Answers were marvellous to read. The content chosen by you is definitely a controversial one in the place where we are living. A topic which needs to be talked with easy and positive environment, is taken as an intense subject of secrecy and quietness. Leading to curiosity as doors are force fully closed.
Since I have been blogging I am regularly reading yours and enjoy the content shared by you. Good luck and keep sharing your thoughts.

  4. Good morning Sumit โœจ

You know what, after seeing the title itself of your this post…I am jumping out of joy. So, you gave an interview..!! Wow, Sumit. You know what, we are proud of you and trust me on this. We are feeling so proud.

    I don’t know from where I should start…
Let me begin from the question one then,
It hardly matters Sumit, that from which medium you have studied, what matters is the urge to learn, and you have that. I have seen the most difficult thing for Hindi medium students has always been is their lack of command on English, but you have made this as your strength..!! I am so proud of you. I don’t know how it has been with you, the learning phase, but you are shining so brightly now.

Coming to your next question, you know na Sumit, more than lovers we have haters in our life and this how it goes, it makes us even more strong, they challenge us at every step. Just like there were people who didn’t allowed you to grow, but see your success is their lesson. And let me tell you one thing, your erotic art…is loved by everybody here. It’s not only about being a ‘soft- porn writer’’s more than that Sumit. People don’t like talking about this publicaly, but you know what, you have given words to this, you have given a feeling to this art form. This is how you have grown and we can see how difficult it has been for you.

I don’t know, how hard it has been to write in on public platforms, knowing that your family, friends and colleagues will also see that. But, it’s you…who have never losened hope, trusted your art, trusted your passion for writing, because in interview you told them confidently about your erotic art forms. We are loving your work so damn much.

You are an amazing human Sumit. A man who respects women more than anything. I can feel that in each and every word you wrote about women. When you say, just make them a part of your life and that’s going to make you change, you stole my heart here. I loved it. I adore you Sumit.

And about that not making writing your profession, you have already told me, when I asked you to write books. That time I realized, that there are people who take writing not as a source for money, but a source which can bring them peace and bliss.

The best thing I read in this blog of yours was, when you said, don’t search for motivation just be self disciplined for your writing and the example you gave, nothing could have been more better than this.
Consistency is a key to success.

And yes, about reading books, how you have planned reading 50 books this year. Like you said, this can be one of the pros of knowing Sumit more than others, because answer of this question I knew already and yes, like you said, I am reading books in the same way you suggested. So thank you Sumit.

Now, a thank you to Simrin Kapoor, for all the amazing questions. This has made us to know our Sumit a little more.

This was an amazing blog, Sumit.
And I wish all the success to you. Keep shining, keep smiling, keep rising.
    We love you.
    So many congratulations..!!

    1. Good morning, Anushka!

Honestly, with the size of comment only I’m impressed. I don’t know what was inside the comment, but the way you understood my words is something I’m feeling blessed about.

I usually don’t accept any awards to tell my stories here. But she was insisting me to share my story as she’s a big reader of my work on Instagram. So I could not say no.

Money was always a problem, Anushka. But learning was never. My mum always wanted me to be who I am today and for that I took admission in an English medium school in 9th standard, then after 2 years I came here in Mumbai. I did my 6 months’ Spoken English course too. And since I was doing pretty well there, they gave me the certificate in 4 months only.

I got to know how and from where I can get into surrounding of English speaking people. I worked on that. I learnt everything by penning down. I cleared my basic concepts. It was a long journey which not everyone is ready to know, they see the success and not the struggles, after all.

After that too it was challenging to choose something which not everyone chooses to talk about. I always wanted to become a sexologist and I was good at Biology too but I have a fear of Blood, I get fainted even if I see blood, so I had to drop that plan.

But intimacy captured my attention. And my journey started. As you know Anushka, that’s not the only thing I write about right? There are n number of different topics I talk about, but as they say on a white sheet, they don’t see the whitening bright color but that one black dot which is always the centre of attraction.

I don’t care about anyone because I never try to impress anyone. I don’t beg anyone to read my work even in my surrounding, and that’s why no one can come up to me and tell me anything. Because I’ve never given anyone that right to talk about my art.

And why would I feel the need to having those people who hate or dislike it(internally, they all read, it’s just the jealousy, I’m sure you can get me who are these people who don’t want anyone to grow, you see) but when I have my loved ones around me like you, I’m already content.

By the grace of God, I earn enough to eat well and donate for anyone who needs it. But as I said, if I feel sad someday writing will save me, but if I’ll make writing as my profession, where will I go. So it’s kinda thing which helps me to escape, Anushka.

More than anything, I love being around you all who make me feel loved, make me come here and write, not only I write but I get to read you too.

I’m just blessed to have so much connected to you. And may the Almighty bless our bond forever.

      Much love, Anushka.

      1. Oh Sumit!

You know what ….you are a sweetheart ..I am smiling and smiling after seeing your comment and reason behind this smile is…your no attitude of giving up in life. I admire you and after reading this admiration for you has increased even more. From your struggle of learning English to getting certificate before two months of show’s how dedicated you were.

You liked Sumit….and yes..very few people opt for being a sexologist. You’re man of dare. You challenge your limits..!!

And not only about erotic poems Sumit…you are brilliant at every single piece you write. What you said about that white sheet and black spot….it’s true Sumit… every body notices that black spot only…not that divine white..!!

You don’t have to impress anyone. People are impressed with you…and you are seeing that…after your each post.. everybody go crazy. We wait for your posts..!!

I hope you rise and shine Sumit ….with everything you do. I am glad that you are statisfied with you work…and can come to your writing whenever you want to.

We love you Sumit and you should know this I really admire you.
This bond is gonna last forever ๐Ÿ’™

Thank you for being there Anushka. My love for you both is immense.

  5. Yours is indeed an inspiring Journey Sumit, breaking taboos is not easy and you did that with your steady and constant.
You know they say everyone can write but then what’s the difference between a writer and a normal person, a writer says what it needs to be said and heard.
And apart from you are a great community holder, I love how invested you are in your fellow writers and even readers and that somehow inspires your art of writing.
Also wonderful interview by Simrin Kapoor โค
    Keep inspiring, keep writing Sumit

  6. Big congratulations on being interviewed! There was one new information for me in these answers. You got warned by a police officer for writing erotica? I didn’t know that. It’s making me laugh. ๐Ÿ˜› I loved all your answers, the way you’ve answered them unabashedly and honestly inspired me. One particular answer where you described your journey of fighting to make your place with your genre of writing was so motivating. I know it took you lots of efforts to stand strong when there was so much hate coming in from everywhere. And look! Today, everyone recognizes you. SumitOfficial has become a brand. That truly is a slap on those people’s faces who ridiculed you and your passion five years back. You are my inspiration, Sir. Keep shining and growing exponentially. โค

    1. Hi Chandu! Yes, that’s true. That police was just a fucking constable though who must have had money from one of my haters to threaten me. I blocked that bastard on Facebook for doing that. And it happened in 2016, I guess.

I still remember when I was thrown out of literary groups by the admins who hated my success in terms of making people entertained because everyone enjoyed reading my work when I used to share, but they hated that and thrown me out.

I made a promise to myself that I’ll become self made now. And that’s when I completed my 1,00,000 views that year on the blog.

I deeply appreciate your compliments, Chandu.
Thank you for constantly being there my little love.

  7. Sumit I am just so proud of you. I don’t have words to show how happy I feel when I see you being interviewed and how honestly you’ve answered everything.

I am a proud reader. I don’t want to get into details of your answer, I won’t be able to do justice to them today. I am just so happy for you. More grease to your elbow Sumit.
You’ve a long way to go!

    But I’ve something for you-

I tried to write something keeping your thoughts in mind-

    I was abandoned by people
    Who found by content filthy
    They never supported my writing
And I couldn’t give up without fighting

People tried to let me down
Tried to threaten me as well
But I loved what I was doing
So I chose to kept going

People see me as successful today
    They don’t know inside stories
I have faced a lot of struggle in life
Until I decided to make words my wife

    I love my readers
    And they love me back
    I’m an unapologetic young man
    Who’ll do everything he can

For me consistency is the key
I have been writing for 850+ days now
No matter the day was good or bad
I keep writing whether I am happy or sad

    I’ve always respected women around
By looking at their love I feel astound
I always try to help my readers as a friend
With all your love Sumitofficial is a brand

By God’s grace I never fell in my haters trap
And thus on their face my success is a slap.

  8. Congratulations Sumit, the wonderful interview. I was amazed by your answer. You’re being so great and humble.I can see your soul through your genuine answers. I am so happy for you. Such an inspiration for your fellow bloggers.

Your answer for 5th question made you to be the most respectful youngster. I think that’s the thing people enjoyed your poems. Really you’re being an inspirational gentle man.Apart from all the struggles you lead on the successful path with aids of your good qualities.

The way you defined passion and profession is awesome man.
What you said was definitely true. When we worn out by our profession we need peace which we could get from our passion. That will be the thing to manage our sanity sometimes. The best thing is you didn’t earn a penny by selling your passion. You did that only for your happiness which is so pure and worth.

Finally there comes consistency. The best thing for the success. Anyone can pursue something but the consistency could hold them on that particular ground. You’re excel in that. It’s not easy to post daily but you’re doing that. And being responsive to your readers too. In this interview I had a chance to know about the great soul.
I am really happy for you Sumit, the most gentle young man, inspiring too. Wish you to get more and more success in your life.

    1. Hi Mitty! Thank you so much for saying those inspiring words. I was just being honest as I don’t think by hiding where I come from would make me any lesser as people think saying you’re from a vernacular medium makes them feel inferior but I believe it’s my power, because that’s my root.

Yes Mitty, I remember I was forced to write in 2016 once because someone told that client that I write good and he was ready to pay anything. I thought if I’ll say Re 1 per word he’d say no. After all, who will pay me Rs 3 for writing “I love you” For an example.

But he was crazy, he did! And I did write copyrighted content for his company and I earned Rs 2000 back in 2016 and would you believe out of that money I had bought Rs 200 Laddu for Bappa and the remaining Rs 1800 is still there in the envelope.

In fact, I forgot it so much that they are old Rs 500 notes which is not even a currency now.

So these are the things for me. Nothing is important than the peace of my soul.

I can write 1000 words for myself and it’s okay if nobody reads but I can’t force myself to write for someone who wants to show it to the world but I’m not satisfied with.

  9. I read your interview and I have one thing to say – WOW!! Loved it! ๐Ÿ™‚ ๐Ÿ™‚

Coming to your writing, I totally agree, sex is a still considered taboo in our country – which by the way is on top when it comes to population. So clearly a lot of people are doing a lot of sex here! Still they do not prefer talking about it. Sex education is still far from being considered and to be honest this only leads one way for kids to learn about it – porn, which may give a wrong impression about the feelings and emotions that go behind it….

Your poems give meaning to it. they highlight the emotions the thoughts that go behind merely touching someone you love โค๏ธYou present it beautifully!! I really cannot express it in words, but just know that they are amazing!! You know a kind of song or poem that makes you feel sexy? That is your poem!!

There is a difference between vulgarity and sexiness. I am a woman and I never felt the former. So keep up the good work man!! Keep writing ๐Ÿ˜

    1. Hahahah! I loved your thought when you say there are people in our country who are topping the chart in watching porn, in raping girls around, in making kids by having sex day in day out, but these are the same people who will disagree on reading about sex. After all what you do and how you write is absolutely different.

There’s this sweet 18 year old blogger, her name is Komal, she read one of my posts and she didn’t understand but rather than telling her it’s not for you. I made her understand what and how sex impacts in a human body that too in a comment section. It’s always about the way we tell things, people are ready to understand, especially today’s generation.

And I’m completely blown away by your appreciation. Thank you so much!
