Cicatrice

I don’t look for the perfection now
As that’s nothing but an illusion.
I want to be in the reality.
I don’t just look for the sex with you
I want the intimacy to be touched deeply.
I want you, love.
And to be loved by you back
I want to touch the cicatrice
of an old wound
And let you touch mine.
I want trust, loyalty,
and kindness for both of us.
I want to tell you the tiniest thing of my day that makes you happy with curiosity
And lastly,
I want you to be around.
Always.

  1. Trust, Loyalty are the base pillars of any relationship in addition to the communication which you have written so well. “I want to tell you the tiniest thing of my day that makes you happy with curiosity”. Talking to each other and giving time in a relationship is the best thing. Well written, yet again!

    1. Listening to this from an experienced person makes me feel happy.

Truly, whatever you just said makes sense and this is the only thing that lasts longer than any social media, double-faced, and running for attention kinda people.

Thank you for sharing your wonderful views and glad you loved it, Nanchi.

  2. Hey sumit,
Here I see the deepest love with such effort and loyal. I loved the first line very much
I don’t look for the perfection now
As that’s nothing but an illusion.
The love is pure when it accepts all imperfections too.
I want to tell the tiniest thing of my day.. This line touched me a lot.
And now I learnt a new word cicatrice.

    1. Hi Mitty!

The main motive was that only, the social media has fucked people’s mind so much that rather than accepting someone the way they are, it always make a person’s kind compare with others. And I don’t even have a problem with a real comparisons, people fall for traps.

Girls are going for lip augmentation, boobs enhancement, guys going for clean chest, it’s all show off and has nothing to do with real life.

The real love comes when we deduct all these comparisons and accept the person for what that individual is all about. Accept the flaws which everyone has, and that’s what I believe love is all about.

      1. Absolutely sumit.
I agree on that. People was living in such an illusion by social media. It makes them depressed sometimes.
Even moon is having flaws and there are lot of people to love that. Then why can’t human accept flaws in their partners too. The companionship in love should come only when the two souls unified not just bodies.

      2. Truly! This is one of the reasons why I don’t even have a single following of an actress/models, neither from Bollywood, nor Hollywood.

They first sexually exploit us and then give this fake image to compare and when we don’t find such thing in real world, it becomes the reason for our depression.

I’m glad that you believe in that too. There are very less people who think like us, but glad that we exist.

Thanks for reading, Mitty! You’re kind.

      3. This is the reason I am out off all the social media. When I was active in social platforms, I was annoyed highly rather than enjoying that. I feel happy that I am not exact alien to hate what most of the people love.

      4. You did a great job.
Either one need to learn for how it should control your mind or don’t use at all. I’m there because my social status is through that only. And people get to know about my continuous work from there.

But I’d any time choose WordPress as the best platform to invest my 24 hours if I can.

      5. Haan for formal usage we can’t resist social media completely. If it is in constructive way I won’t hesitate to use. That’s the reason I am now in WordPress.

  3. Hey Sumit!! Again one of your beautiful gems in the form of a poem.. it’s so beautiful.. full of pure love.. that sees perfection in flaws… that makes me truly happy to know that there are people who think like this, otherwise I have seen relationships where a partner is expected to be a certain way in his/her physical appearance.. still saying they love them.. love is just becoming a word to say without any feelings now a days.. making fun of them.. and then leaving them for someone else.. no one is perfect.. if we accept our flaws why can’t we of our partner… and pure intimacy is completely opening up to the deepest level of your soul… closeness, honesty, trust everything and that happiness of being around always..

    1. There are of course people who think and believe in that. And for example, you should look at the mirror.

Very well said by you. Love is beyond physicality.

Thanks for such beautiful description of your opinion, Anu.

  4. Perfect is an illusion so true.
We all are born with our very own imperfections and flaws and that’s what makes us unique and beautiful and pretty face and great body might attract someone but what eventually keeps the person is the trust, locality, kindness.
    So intricate and true
    beautiful ! loved it ❤

  5. Oh, that is the foundation of true love, isn’t it? When two people are able to share their deepest scars with each other, that’s the bond which needs to be cherished forever. I can sense overflowing love here, haha. ♥️ This really touched me.

    1. Absolutely, Chandu. Anyone can fall for the illusion but what really important is how you accept the love with all the positivity in a person.

Thanks for loving it. And this is just a poem, stop putting your excessive thoughts on it. 😂

  6. We have learnt a new word again.
I just checked what it means actually.
Thank you for always improving our vocabulary.

Coming to your poem, it’s so genuine nah, and it’s hard to feel such love at this time. I mean everyone is falling for outer appearances, I don’t say it’s wrong or deceptive always but yaa falling for someone’s soul is completely different and equally beautiful!

You have described it all well.
Seems like the poet in you knows very well how to love and make someone feel comfortable and special at the same time.

It was very soothing to read this piece.
I feel like thanking you for writing it!

I honestly say I really enjoyed this one!
    Good job!

    1. You liked this word? I loved its meaning more.

True that, Rashmi! Looks for matter but I’ve read in my adolescent that it only is 10% but what makes you like someone more is 90% inside what you have.

Don’t thank me, Rashmi. Just spread the love, we always crave for that nah!

  7. Good morning Sumit✨
    How you doing?

Another new word today .. cicatrice…while reading your poem…I actually understood it’s meaning.
More than a permanent mark of damage… it’s all about breaking all the illusions of chasing perfection.

All we want is trust, loyalty, honesty, kindness and time of that person. When you say…I want to touch the old wounds of you and you should touch mine…you took my heart.

    This is amazing Sumit.
    I loved it.

    1. Hey, Anushka! Good evening!

You got it right, the scar which stays there for a lifetime.

Isn’t it what love is all about, after all? When we confess our love to someone we tell them everything, all the secrets we have been hiding in our heart since years. And it can be known by a very few people. That is what makes love a beautiful.

I am happy that you loved it, Anushka!
