Embers

Let’s hold the hand and
walk inside the forest.
The orange and yellowish
liberating light touches us gently.

Let’s dance while being drunk
On the night under the moonlight.
Until we’re tired and end up sleeping
in the arms of each other.

Let’s wake up,
wrapped up in the arms
Entwined around each other
Until the soft embers
ignite the light again.

  2. 2nd stanza was just too good!

Though you being a nature lover would love to spend time under the moon light, in the forest being in beloved’s arms but the idea of dancing while being drunk was something out of the box today!

    Good one!
    See you around ✨

    1. You loved the second one? Guess what? I loved the third one, when the night is gone, and the dawn is there, the little fire ignites the light of love in between them and they make out in the morning in the open sky, around the huge trees.

  3. Here comes the great lover of nature. So beautiful work Sumit. It definitely an extraordinary feel to be with lover in forest under moonlight. And I loved your metaphor.
