You never start a journey by your own, do you?
We didn’t undertake this journey thinking we’d reach it here someday,
In the endless voyage called life.
We were nothing but two lost rivers
Which were meant to meet in the middle.
As we flowed into the sea, the tributary provided a new life to us.
And made it one.
A life full of bond.

  1. How beautifully have you used metaphors in this one.
The idea of river, sea, tributaries is beautiful in itself and then making it an analogy for the beloved and the lover and their love between that’s so very beautiful ❤❤

  2. Hi Sumit,
    I hope you’re doing great.
Today your work was so beautifully crafted. Here I am being the great fan of your words wondering how could you craft a poem like this!
With lovely metaphors you described the reality of life. Simple words having depth.
    Loved it 😊

    1. Hey, Mitty!
Thank you for your kind words, I am already touched.

My love for nature has always been increasing and that come in my words too. I am grateful that you are easily able to look at that love.

      Thank you, Mitty!

    It said everything.
    I liked it!
I always like how you compare love to nature in all different ways sometimes through forest, tributary, woods, seas!
    Just beautiful!
