1000 Days of Journaling My Heart Out!

“You don’t start out writing good stuff. You start out writing crap and thinking its good stuff, and then gradually you get better at it.
That’s why I say one of the most valuable traits is persistence.”
― Octavia E. Butler

A writer is a person who never sees his work as the best written work ever, the day he admits he’s written his best part, he’ll stop experimenting much with his work. Being satisfied in our field is the end of the story and a writer would never want his characters to die in the story.

Everybody walks past a thousand story ideas every day. The good writers are the ones who see five or six of them. Most people don’t see any.
– Orson Scott

The same has been my motto for these Great 1000 days of my life where I was always around my journal at the end of the day. No matter how good or bad the other day was, my companion would be my pen and a diary.

“People say, ‘What advice do you have for people who want to be writers?’ I say, they don’t really need advice, they know they want to be writers, and they’re gonna do it. Those people who know that they really want to do this and are cut out for it, they know it.”
— R.L. Stine

After spending so much time with pen, papers, and stationery I feel as if I don’t even need a human interactions in my life. Hahah! Jokes apart! I truly believe this is something which we all read on the Internet that one of the good habits is to read and write every day, but how many people actually are accepting that advice and keep it going? Tough, right?

It certainly is, until and unless you dwell yourself in the ocean of self-love. The moment you have all the faith in yourself, nobody is ever going to stop you, or rather I should say, nobody CAN stop you because what keeps you going is not what is outside but INSIDE.

  1. Hey there, good to see you after long!

Well inspired by your writing, I too began journaling, and few days back only I completed writing for 100 days.
And it’s so good to know you completed 1000 days.
    Keep writing, keep inspiring!

    1. Hey, Rashmi!
Could anything be better than this?
Of course, this isn’t the first time you’ve started journaling. But what’s more important is how you got the guts to start it off again. I hope you don’t throw or burn them because of anyone’s fear of reading them.

    Anyways leave that.

I don’t know yaar, something just striked me and I left. And I left without a back up plan.
Well I was working till today morning, I got freed from everything finally today only.

I’ll sit back and think what to do ahead!

  3. This post of yours reminded me of one of the poems I studied in school
There was one line in that which said that everything (monuments, money, people) will be forgotten or die on day, but my writings are immortal and will be remembered even after I die 💀
Today I realize the essence of that
Writing helps you pouring out your feelings and relieving yourself from all the thoughts racing in your mind and icing on the cake is that you can go through them again and again whenever you want and they will always remain yours 😇
Congrats🎉🎊 for such a big accomplishment

  4. Congratulations on making it to the 1000 mark for journaling! That’s not an easy feat, consistency is always on the faltering edge but glad you stuck out 💪🏽 that’s true as well, we always know we want to do something, be it writing or other activities, but it really all comes down to deciding to pour some heart and time into it, practicing the craft and getting better. By the way, I do love that you used a quote from one of my favorite authors as a kid ✨

    1. Hi Sarah! Thanks for asking your question.

The benefit of keeping a journal makes your mind active. There are people who need the overnight success, but they’re not ready for the efforts it takes to be pro at something.

When you write everyday something, you’re utilizing the mind to think, and that way you get better everyday.

      1. Wow didn’t realise there were so many benefits!
But you’re right, I don’t write in a journal but whenever I do write something it does boost my mind and gives me the motivation to do other activities too.

    1. Hahah! As they say, it takes 21 days to build a habit, and 90 days to make it a lifestyle. My major motto of the entire day was to wait for the night so that I can go home, open my diary and pen something down.

Moreover, when you’re passionate about something you never forget to do it.
