Constellation!

If you ask me how does the moon
look like tonight, I won’t tell you
That it shines brighter.

Rather I’d ask you to offer me a pen and paper so I draw pictures of galaxy,
Of the distance between you and the moon.
For how much does it crave to be loved by you.

With a smile, I’d let you look up
at the beauty until
you fall in love all over again.

  1. Good evening Sumit!

You know I did not find your post for two days and I was about to ask you where are you and here you are!
Talking about your poem, well it’s so good to read a poem by you after so so long, it’s been a long time really!

I really liked the idea where it said instead of asking me to explain about moon, give me a pen and paper, but you know what will happen after that, the composition that will come out will be more beautiful than the moon itself!

    I liked it really!

    1. That’s so sweet of you. It reminded me of one of the conversations that we had on the terrace where the moon was being appreciated.

Listening to your views are always precious, Rashmi.

      1. Hah! Yes. You got me.

Things are fine. These days I’m having a bit difficult time with my heart. I’ve never felt the anxiety in my heart, the unreasonable pumping in my heart.

        Very unusual.

      2. Thank you for being q good listener as usual, Rashmi.

It’s just that uneasiness at the corner of heart. I’m not even able to find out what’s exactly hurting.

      6. Talking to our people actually feels good. And your existence here made me feel that way. I’m better now.

Do anything but not to forget about writing. Words are life.

        Take care of yourself, Rashmi.

      7. Sumit, Sumit listen to me, cut off from everyone including me and just go to your favorite park where you always go when you feel you need a break.

Your companions are there, that tree, that bench, your journal and your pen needs to see you there at that park.

      8. I don’t know if I am really helping you out by talking to you or you want time alone..

So I’ll just assume and leave you by yourself.
        Take care of yourself please.
And if you want, you can always speak up. I am here.

      9. I don’t know if this is gonna help you, but you should listen to this one song I am listening on loop today – Chak de from hum tum
I’ll sing 2 lines for you-

“Has ke to dekh tu ek baar
Khud hi aa jaegi fie Bahar”

Suno tum ek baar free hokar ya time nikalkar.

      10. Yes Sumit,

You know I’ve always told you nah, fortunately I’ve always been surrounded by people who really love and understand me, but off lately I have realized my diary is my best friend. And that not everyone needs to know what’s happening inside out.
        Isn’t it?

And you know when I started doing it, I fell so at home. No judgement, nothing.
I am just me, the real me.

And therefore now each time I discover more about myself, I remember you because it’s you who inspired me to write a journal.

      11. Absolutely, Rashmi. When we’re talking or having a conversation with another person we need to put an efforts to present and convey the message of what our heart wants, but there are chances to be misjudged, and misunderstood.

On contrary, while writing, the pen and paper are so much at peace that ot listens and understands us. And that’s probably the best part.

Pouring the heart in front of someone, and penning it down, I’d always choose the latter.

      12. You know it all!

It’s strange how we talk in oblivion and still underestand each other!
        Unless it’s not misunderstood.

Anyways I want to see you smiling soon! It cannot be forced or else I’d have asked someone to tickle you. I’ll wait to sense a positive vibe from your end.

      13. Hahah! Why would you let anyone else do if you could have done by yourself. Haha!

But I’ll be back with my vibrant mood soon.

What’s the plan now? Any blog post on the way?

      14. True that.
Let covid end, I’ll come to Mumbai than! Thike.

Ah, I am so waiting for that.
I just loved this “haha” part itself coming from you! Hope you feel better.

        I’ll do some padai abhi.
        No, nothing yet.
