“Grateful For All The Opportunities To Choose Love In This Life.” | Prompt #16

Isn’t it a strange thing that we love ourselves so much that, at times, we think and wish if there could be someone like “me” who’d love and support me as much as I do. Someone who’d just as good as me when it comes to help others. When someone could be anything but always kind enough towards everyone.

I’ve had many instances in life, where things were hard on me, but it was me who was soft to myself. Honestly, it’s always easy to burst on someone when you’re in anger, but what really matters is how you take care of that anger and channelise it in a way that won’t make you feel regret later.

Today’s prompt number 16 is a poem where I see myself as a third person. This is not Sumit who is writing this poem for him, rather it’s SumitOfficial who’s writing a poem for a person called Sumit.

It take guts to feel your anger,
And coming out with care.
It shows a lot when you’re not in control,
And you have relations and bonds to share.

I really admire you for
Always being helpful, and giving ways,
And how your generosity in doing anything,
Exactly there your unselfishness displays.

In a world full of greedy people,
You could become anything but kind,
Even after consuming all the darkness within
You always come out and shine.

I thank you for your benignity
Which I’ll never able to forget,
I’m so grateful to meet you,
as you’re one of the wonderful
people I’ve met.

I appreciate for what you did,
You weren’t asked to do it,
I’m glad you could be that someone
Who helped me to get through it.

I’ll always think of you
And you’ll always be in my heart,
You’re the only person who’d always be there
I knew that from the start.

In a world full of masked people
You were unmasked and beyond chaos,
I am not perfect, and maybe I can never be,
But thank you accepting me with all my flaws.

    1. You know what, Yeshu? I thing I’ve learnt about an individual is- you may always get angry or upset with yourself, but never abuse yourself.

Give yourself a chance to love again. This time let’s start with yourself. And then forgive everyone who’s done wrong to you, forgive yourself for being selfish at times.

But when you are done with everything, make sure you love yourself the best possible way, that’s how it should work.

There’d be no one but your own self who’s going to love you back.

  1. It’s so much important to accept and love ourselves the way we are. You definitely have a lot of positivity in you. It’s said about people, “the ones who are happy with themselves know how to keep others happy”, you definitely are one of those.

This poem is beautiful again. Sumit official’s poem for Sumit can be felt by the reader✨

    Keep shining ✨

      1. You’ve heard about this thing-

“Heard melodies are sweet but those unheard are sweeter”
It’s always pleasure to read the inside of a poet’s head and heart.
        I absolutely liked it!
