“You Find It When You’re Tearing Up Your Life” | Prompt #25

You have to understand what is happening in regard to know what needs to be changed. While looking at the problems or traumatized situations, you put your mind aside. Why? You stopped using it and start feeling the hurt. The pain. You don’t let your mind come in between to help you out, rather you let the pain dig inside you until if breaks you.

Listening to the heavy rains, earthquakes, thundering of lightening, dark clouds, or unbearable tides in the ocean, can they hurt you? No. It comes and go, there’s no need to react on it. You cannot do anything about it, anyway. There’s no need too.

The rains aren’t going to attack you, the trees won’t fall on you, the earthquake would not break your home, nothing is going to attack you. But this can be only understood once you’re aware, in your consciousness.

To be vulnerable to life in time and again, it’s going to happen. Take your problems as seasons, they’ll come and go, don’t take them personally. You will keep on getting such things in life. Don’t tear it apart. Be there for yourself, and soon it will become your very life.

In the high-spirited delight,
And in the adversity too
I’ve stood up for what I believe in,
Even when there was no one to accompany me.
In the time of despair, I’ve seen people disappearing
Faced the calamities by myself,
I’ve generated the opportunities.

One constant thing was the smile I never lost,
A beautiful expensive thing that only kindness it costs,
Inspiring others to become better,
To bring them back to the life.
I’ve seen myself working really hard
In order to create someone’s life with shine.

I’ve got compassion and kindness,
And affection fill with warmth,
Let the nature be cruel tonight,
This is nothing but a little storm.

  1. This is nothing but a little strom. Wow. Powerful words here Sumit. It take a strong and patient mind to take and access the situation so wisely and remain calm no matter what. From the outside one can put on a smile but its difficult to remain at peace from the inside. These are some wise words you shared.

  2. You write really really nice. Especially the part that you write before initiating the actual poem compliments it so well. Actually adored reading someone after so long.🌸

    1. I’m just done writing my Prompt #26, and I cannot describe how elated it makes me feel to be appreciated. There’s no completion as such that I need to keep on winning, but such words from you, I think I did it.

I’m completely honoured with your kindness, Shree.

  3. It kinda gets a little subjective, it definitely reveals a lot of your nature. Kindness, compassion, being there for others kind of things.
The world needs more people like you, you’re doing a great job by uplifting others.

I liked the second stanza more as compared to the rest.

    1. That’s very kind, Rashmi.
What I represent is not me, it is who you are as a reader, as a person. I’m just a reflection.

The world needs people like you too for being this generous.

      1. I really like how you always end up saying this thing, I’m just a reflection.

Next time when anyone says this to me that “I’m good or something”, I’ll end up saying I’m just a reflection.
Thank you for teaching me this.

      2. I want you to know one thing when Osho was asked who are you?

        He answered:

“Whomsoever you think, because it depends on you. If you look at me with total emptiness, I will be different. If you look at me with ideas, those ideas will color me; if you come to me with a prejudice, then I will be different. I am just a mirror. Your own face will be reflected. There is a saying that if a monkey looks into the mirror he will not find an apostle looking at him through the mirror. Only a monkey will be looking through the mirror.

So it depends on the way you look at me. I have disappeared completely so I cannot impose on you who I am. I have nothing to impose. There is just a nothingness, a mirror. Now you have complete freedom.

If you really want to know who I am, you have to be as absolutely empty as I am. Then two mirrors will be facing each other, and only emptiness will be mirrored. Infinite emptiness will be mirrored: two mirrors facing each other. But if you have some idea, then you will see your own idea in me.”

      3. Okay, I totally totally get this one.
Though I had to read it twice, thrice to understand. But I did get it.

Still there’s a question, you’ll definitely have an answer, I’m sure.
I’ll get back to you later.
