To stop and analyze myself,
What am I trying to be,
I’ve lost myself and people around
While all I cared was about me.
I’m here to overcome the tragedies
By apologizing to the hardest times,
I know how does it feel to be broken
But still manage to be kind.
To fight for the love of my life,
While keeping them in my eye sight,
I’m here standing with your darkness,
And I’ll become the source of light.
To take the accountability,
For everything I’ve done by my own
I’ll make sure not to hurt you anymore
Even if I have to face everything alone.
I realized the values of the ones
Who are concerned and care to know
I have my home with them,
When I was thrown by the
world who let me go.
I’m proud to have you around,
And I cherish this life that I live,
I’ll make the best of every day
By sharing everything I have to give.
I’m hurt with the extreme pain
That my tears say it all,
To appreciate what the Almighty has blessed me with,
You’re the one that I need
Nothing less nothing more.

That was probably the best thing to start my morning with, it’s always pleasure reading you!
Knowing tad bit of what you were going through, the uneasiness within, I guess that’s what makes me resonate to it more quickly, and I am sure you too must have felt better after writing this.
“I know how does it feel to be broken
But still manage to be kind.”, Those are some really powerful lines!
Fifth and the last stanza are two good. I cannot pick up any favorite lines but still the ending is extremely beautiful and has justified your work completely!

Such a great poem! Especially loved “I’m here standing with your darkness,
And I’ll become the source of light. ” That is what I believe too, that we can be the light for someone else’s darkness and hope we can do the same for ourselves 🙂
